Kennel name MEIEPERE was registered on the 22nd of October 1991.
"Meie pere" means "our family" in Estonian and our kennel was named like that because our dogs are full members of our family. We couldn't imagine it being any other way.

Our first litter of golden retrievers was born on November 12th, 2004 out of our first golden Ska (Int & Est & Lv & Rus Ch Springisland Uanigi Ska) and a beautiful English stud bred and owned by kennel Pacimini called Pharoah (Eng Sh Ch Pacimini Simply Top Honours). It goes without saying that we were extremely happy to raise such a litter and we're very grateful to Pharoah's breeder and owner Pauline Armstrong for helping and trusting us. We kept a little puppy girl who we called Nicky (Est & Rus Ch Meiepere Charming Unique).

By now Nicky has become a mother of two litters herself. Her first litter was with kennel Trewater's dog Teddie (Eng Ch Trewater Made To Measure JW), a very attractive young boy with a golden character and great instincts. We'd like to thank his breeder and owner Jane Clark for all the help, trust and support, her wide knowledge of goldens has helped us so much. We kept a puppy from this litter as well - Jenny (Est & Lv & Rus JCh Meiepere Easy To Please).

We've also had a wonderful chance to import a golden girl from kennel Ria Vela in Spain. She's called Evita (Est Ch Magica Emi de Ria Vela) and she also has had 2 litters by now (from which we have two girls living with us - Bonnie (Meiepere Footprints In The Sand) from her first litter and Mimi (Star Light Son Be With Meiepere) from her second). Big thanks to Evita's breeders Paloma Gusso and Antonio Lopez for trusting her with us.

Goldens' gentle and loyal nature is what got us into this breed in the first place. Them being so intelligent and true family dogs are only some of the lovable features this breed has.

The love for golden retrievers makes us want to preserve all the good qualities of this wonderful breed - our aim is to breed sound typical goldens with a will to please, the looks of a true golden and a working ability.
All our dogs live with us in the house.

We will only breed a litter when we wish to keep a puppy ourselves!
